I.JOB SUMMARY:
The position of an IT Intern will support the IT Officer in providing IT support to CIP CO employees in managing, troubleshooting, and upgrading the IT infrastructure. The individual will also evaluate the existing IT services such as desktops, networks, security, and file sharing with a goal of service improvement and increased collaboration. S/he serves as the backup point of contact for all CARE users for technical and administrative resolution to problems related to IT equipment and/or software/s.
II. RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
Assist in the management of office IT equipment and determine any equipment requiring replacement or repositioning.
Assist the Admin team in undertaking asset management of all related IT systems and devices. This includes licenses, passwords, mobile Wi-Fi devices, phones, laptops etc.;
Test the power stability of the network to determine stability and efficiency.
Setup network printers/scanners and give users access to these services.
Coordinate with the IT vendor/s for billing, repair and maintenance of IT equipment.
Maintain a backup of all relevant documents that are placed on the shared drive and ensure that data is continuously migrated and stored in a safe place.
Assist the IT Officer in planning and implementing IT developments.
Support the IT Officer in creating IT policies and procedures relevant to CIP
Perform any other task as assigned by the supervisor.
III. QUALIFICATIONS (KNOW HOW)
Education and Skills
Required:
Bachelor's Degree in a related field such as IT, or Computer Science.
Desired:
Hardware and Software installations
Experience:
1 year of basic hardware troubleshooting.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
Experience in supporting users with IT-related queries
Basic knowledge required for Windows installation.
Experience in deploying antivirus solutions in a centralized environment
Experience in software installations.
