General mission

The intern will assist the Technical Head of Program in conducting a comprehensive analysis of migration and displacement dynamics in Pakistan and in developing a strategic framework to guide Handicap International’s interventions

Missions / responsibilities

Conduct a comprehensive review and analysis of existing migration and displacement policies, programmes, and practices at national and regional levels.
Identify gaps, challenges, and opportunities for integrating disability-inclusive approaches into migration-related interventions.
Collect and synthesize secondary data from government reports, UN agencies, NGOs, and other relevant sources.
Support the Technical Head of program in drafting a strategic framework or guidance note on migration programming for Organization Pakistan.
Prepare briefings, reports, and presentations for internal use and stakeholder consultations.
Assist in mapping stakeholders, including government authorities, NGOs, UN agencies, and migrant-focused organizations.
Ensure that recommendations align with HI global standards, protection principles, and disability-inclusive programming.

Qualifications and Skills

Recently graduated from a relevant field (e.g., Migration Studies, Humanitarian Affairs, International Development).
Strong research, analytical, and writing skills.
Knowledge of migration, displacement, and disability-inclusive programming is an advantage.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data presentation tools.
Excellent communication skills in English; knowledge of Urdu or local languages is a plus.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively under supervision.
