Job Summary: The Woman Medical Officer (WMO) will provide clinical care for women and children, including antenatal, postnatal, and delivery services, manage obstetric emergencies, support MNCH programs, maintain HMIS reporting, and ensure compliance with EPHS and patient safety standards under the supervision of the PMO/SMO. On Need basis she will be assigned to manage general patients as well as per hospital policy and protocols

Aga Khan Health Service, Pakistan, is looking for a competent Women Medical Officer (WMO) based at RHC Shagram, Upper-Chitral in Chitral Region. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide quality clinical services in OPD, Emergency, and inpatient wards, particularly for women and children
  • Manage antenatal, postnatal, and normal delivery services in accordance with clinical protocols
  • Identify and manage obstetric and neonatal emergencies and ensure timely referral when required
  • Support family planning, immunization, and nutrition services
  • Maintain proper patient records, registers, and reporting in line with HMIS and hospital standards
  • Ensure compliance with EPHS standards, infection prevention, and patient safety protocols
  • Participate in health education sessions for mothers and caregivers
  • Coordinate with the PMO/SMO and nursing staff to improve service quality and patient outcomes 

Qualifications & Experience:

  • MBBS with valid PMDC registration.
  • Minimum 1–2 years of clinical experience preferred, however, fresh graduates completed house job may apply.
  • Possesses basic clinical certifications such as s ultrasound, BLS/ACLS.
  • Strong clinical and diagnostic skills in maternal and child health
  • Ability to manage labour room and emergency cases
  • Basic knowledge of Ultrasonography
  • Good communication and counselling skills
  • Competency in documentation, reporting, and HMIS tools
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-based hospital environment
  • Results-driven, ethical and adaptable professional with a strong service and stakeholder focus.
  • Strong integrity with the sensitivity to manage confidential information.
  • Demonstrates superior organizational skills and the agility to multitask and assume changing strategic responsibilities in a dynamic environment.
